CityShare helps people share their ideas and expertise while learning from others to improve their cities. We provide a collection of tools including CityShares, webinars, a growing library of ideas and practices, a cross-sector peer network, and our award-winning innovation engine.
Too often, however, the wealth of knowledge within local government remains untapped by other cities, particularly at the operational level. CityShare is a network to share this knowledge. Through the CityShare network, host and participate in webinars, meet professionals in other cities interested in civic collaboration, join interest and region-based communities, share insights and files related to urban and use the powerful Inno360 research tool to engage with the latest interdisciplinary urban research.
LEARN
CityShare members have access to high quality, useful content that is in the public domain but is currently inaccessible or difficult to find. Our resources consist of the most useful reports, studies, tools and templates that have helped other cities improve services and operate efficiently, particularly the internal documents and reports that are often most valuable but least likely to be shared. In addition to our curated resources, we provide access to over 9 billion resources and documents accessible through a sophisticated data mining tool.
CONNECT
CityShare members are individuals who are working day-in-day-out at the ground level to improve their cities, including professionals who work for government, non-profits, civic associations, foundations and the private sector. Individual participants are not only organizational leaders, but also thought leaders and front-line personnel who often have the best ideas for improving government.
SHARE
CityShare members are invited to help identify, generate, evaluate, sustain and spread the practices, resources and tools they find to be most helpful. Through an exchange of information in this unique online community, members will be able to learn more, share more, and connect more with people from the multiple sectors interested in improving government operations.

Through access to a database of more than 9 billion documents and resources-- including a growing collection of curated and member-sourced resources focused on cities? most pressing challenges-- CityShare members are able to develop new and creative solutions to their challenges, either individually or in collaboration with their peers. CityShare acts as a collaboratory in which practitioners work together without regard for physical location. Our innovation tools include the ability to post, share, comment on, and interact with others as well as a project management tool for more structured collaboration.
